WHAT JUGGLING MULTIPLE BUSINESSES TAUGHT ME AS AN ENTREPRENEUR

Updated: Aug 4

Being an entrepreneur is one thing - being a multi-business entrepreneur? That's a whole different level of clarity and growth.

When I launched my first company at 20, See Thru Nikki, I thought I was diving into the deep end. What I didn't realize was that I'd eventually be diving into multiple deep ends at once - building brands, producing content, consulting, managing advocacy platforms like Raw Talk with Nikki Gal and The Model Memo with Nikki Gal, and still showing up creatively every single day.

Here's what juggling multiple businesses and advocacy platforms as an entrepreneur has taught me - not just about business, but about myself.

1. Time is Not Renewable - So Spend It With Intention

Running multiple businesses and platforms means your time becomes your most valuable currency.

You can't do it all. You shouldn't do it all. I had to learn how to prioritize and say no.

2. You Don't Need Balance - You Need Rhythm

There's this myth that we're supposed to "balance" everything - equal time for work, health, creativity, relationships, sleep. But I don't believe in balance anymore. I believe in rhythm.

Some seasons, I'm fully immersed in brand building. Others, I'm in content creation mode.

3. Every Brand Needs a Different Version of You

Each business I run has its own identity, tone, and energy. Raw Talk is personal and raw. The Model Memo is empowering and educational. My creative direction work is deeply visual and fast-paced. Learning how to switch gears without losing myself was the most empowering thing I've ever done.

4. You Can't Create If You're Depleted

I block time off - no meetings, no screens, just space to think. If I don't protect my energy, everything I build suffers. Mental clarity isn't a luxury in entrepreneurship. It's a requirement.

5. Passion Must Be Paired With Process

I'm a big-picture dreamer. I can envision a brand, story, or product from start to finish in seconds. But turning vision into reality? That takes systems, structure, and discipline - three things I had to teach myself. Each business I manage runs off systems now - content calendars, workflows and check-ins. Creativity is nothing without the consistency behind it.

Final Thoughts

Juggling multiple businesses hasn't been easy. But it's also been the most rewarding path I could've chosen. When your work aligns with your values, you realize: it's not about juggling perfectly. It's about choosing what matters most, staying honest, and building a life that feels authentic.

To every entrepreneur wearing too many hats: keep going.
